Locate Telephone Numbers

PDA Cell Phone
One of the best things about my sales job is that I'm always on the move. I'm either meeting with existing clients, prospecting potential .....

Since I have had both caller ID on my home phone and my cell phone, I still find I need to locate telephone numbers. There are so many times that I miss a call completely and the caller does not leave a message. I realize that if it were important they would most likely let me know why exactly they called, but curiosity always seems to get the best of me and I find myself at the computer doing a locate telephone number search.

Not only do I use this new search technology because of one missed call here and there, even when I can restrain myself from doing a locate telephone number search the first or second time a call comes in from a particular number, I am finding more and more that they just keep calling. Then I really feel the need to search who is calling me and not leaving me a message because it gets quite annoying to keep receiving phone call after phone call from the same telephone number without any explanation as to who it is calling. After several missed calls and a locate telephone number search, I usually find out that it is some telemarketing agency calling which I should have assumed in the first place. However, if they are calling my cell phone I call their 800 number from my home phone and tell them to take me off of their calling lists. It’s one thing to receive telemarketing calls, but I really don’t want to be paying for the time that I am talking to them. Not to mention, I think it is actually illegal for solicitors to call a cell phone number.

One of the most challenging jobs you will ever have is the position of telemarketer. This .....
Since it is so useful, I am glad that doing a locate telephone number search is so simple. Most of the more recognizable online phone directories now carry this option. All you need to do is click on the “search by phone number” option, enter the number that you are inquiring, and then choose whether it is residential, business or unknown. The unknown option will search for both, and this is usually what I use because I have absolutely no idea who the phone number is attached to. Many times these searches come up with no matches, and then I move onto doing a locate telephone number search through Google. I just enter the phone number into the search box, and if it is a business it will most likely come up on a web page somewhere. Thank goodness, because otherwise I think I would go crazy!
